Evony Free Forever?
Most RTS and MMORPG gamers have heard about Evony the new free web based game, but is it good enough to take users away from the likes of DOTA and World of Warcraft?
The bottom line is, it is happening.
Put aside the visuals in the game for DOTA and WoW, the reason Evony (previously called Civony) is quickly growing such a large, dedicated fan base - is the ease of access.
Having a web based, free interface makes for quick user uptake.
But the smart developers behind Evony have embedded an earning interface, by allowing users to buy game coins and ‘improve’ their experience. Not critical, but possible.
So far, Evony has been a resounding success. We watch the next few months with close interest, as will many games from the RTS and MMORPG world.
